Repton School Derby

Repton School Derby is a faith-based private, girls' school, founded in 1869 by Rev. Dr. James Repton. He made his bones in the navy, serving in the Indian navy as a deck boy and later a chaplain. A lifelong student of religion and education, he went on to found the Repton School, which is still running today.

As you may have guessed, Repton is a school that don't just teach, but teaches well. Girls here excel in academics and sports, while boys are taught about fair play, self-confidence, physical fitness and good manners. Even today, Repton School prides itself on being the home of the British National Ballet. In fact, it is Repton's core curriculum that draws people like Shakespeare to this wonderful establishment.

The beautiful campus of Repton School in Derby has been designed to use state of the art equipment. There are two girls' schools, Repton School Derby, as well as a boys' school, St George's School. The girls' school has four different athletic teams, which are called the Repton Cup, Royal Albert Hall Athletic Club, Royal Gracey Ladies' School and the Repton High School Derby.

There are also clubs for both girls and boys. For example, the Roseberry Hill Girls' Library is a great place for all kids to come and use the computers, writing desks and other school equipment. And it even has a computer center, where you can get some Repton School Derby practice! Other facilities include, library, museum, and gym.

Repton is a Christian school and it teaches its pupils modesty, grace, respect, hard work, teamwork and fair play. Its motto is "As a Place of Learning". And it certainly puts its students through a lot, since it demands a lot of them. It's all about winning, making it to the next level. The boys and the girls have to work together, and both schools have a good tradition of academic and athletic competition.
