The recent hiring of Eric McWhorter as Parkland's new head football coach will mean a fresh start for the Matadors. Frontz was the longtime head coach at Parkland until he left in December to take a job as an assistant athletic director for the Socorro Independent School District. Frontz has been coaching football for 25 years, the last five as head coach. In his five years as head coach at Parkland, his teams have gone undefeated in district games and reached the area round.
